Announcement: The Launch of Texas Venture Memberships

As of 2023 Q1, the Texas Venture Alliance has begun publishing founding membership profiles here. If you have requested a membership and haven’t seen yours live yet, know that more updates are coming.

We’re proud to work with some key individuals from this first group of founding members who helped advise on the early formation of the organization’s events, member benefits, advocacy, and more.

Featured on these individual venture member profile pages are categories indicating: the region from the state they reside or frequently visit, what general title they hold in the greater venture community, and any additional notable factors.

Three unique features on member profiles are the “Leadership”, “Community”, and “Noted” categories.

Leadership Category

Member profiles in the “Leadership” category are individuals who are founding members of our advisory or executive board of directors, or on the committee for events such as the Texas Venture Crawl. There are 20+ founding members of our leadership team of which are our trusted partners who as individuals and the firms they represent were crucial in the standing up of this new organization.

Community Category

While some professionals in the “Community” category may or may not be investors themselves, we wanted to recognize them as components of the ecosystem as they either:

1) work as part of a city or state economic development department, office, or chambers of commerce
2) host events catering to both startups and investors
3) provide resources such as founded a coworking space or have a venture-related podcast

One of the biggest Texas Venture Alliance values is to “connect”. Members from this “Community” category have already shown their leadership by sharing resources in their own way— and Texas innovation is better for it.

Noted Category

Member profiles in the “Noted” category are individuals who lead firms that have received a level of recognition. They might also be top investors and/or entrepreneurs who topped a list, and/or have received an award.

Another Texas Venture Alliance focus is to “amplify”. Celebrating professional accomplishments are very important to highlight along the career journey. Texas has an impressive fast-growing venture scene of top performers. Many of hard-working folks are humble, and some just don’t want to self-promote. The Texas Venture Alliance spotlights our members’ achievements, and we are honored to have the opportunity and platform to celebrate proud moments that help inspire.
